Who is Quasar Holland and what is their crystal light? We love to tell you about our company and our charming crystal light, so please read on! Quasar Holland was founded by Teun van Gammeren in 1992 and in the meantime, the second generation has taken the helm. All those years, we have been located in Giessen, Netherlands, where you find our offices and our own production hall. In the hall we manufacture all our lighting, including the crystal light, ourselves, with a dedicated team. Over time, we have developed into a serious world player, with an export that accounts for 85% of turnover. Did you know our lighting is often seen in magazines, tv shows and even in a recent Hollywood movie?! In an interview son Arjens van Gammeren summarized Quasar Holland perfectly: “We create decorative lighting with technical depth. Our lamps are minimalist, but expressive. With our lamps, you add the eye-catchers to your lighting plan.” One of the eye-catchers is the crystal light, designed by famous designer Jan Pauwels. Quasar Holland has made it a company habit to work together closely with top designers from all over the world. The national and international artist-designers are renowned for their creative and unique, contemporary lighting ideas. Jan Pauwels created the Crystal Galaxy for us. It does not matter where you place this crystal light; the crystals sparkle in the transparent structure, just like the bright stars of the galaxy.

The second generation has taken over from founder Teun van Gammeren, but still sticks to the core values of producing and exporting beautiful crystal light, fitting in the categories classic, timeless and modern ambience. The company was introduced to the international market at Euroluce in Milan, Italy. Euroluce is the two-year International Lighting Exhibition, where people present their newest devices for outdoor, indoor and industrial lighting to lighting for shows and events, hospital lighting and special use lighting, home automation and lighting systems, light sources and lighting application software. It is no wonder Quasar Holland feels perfectly at home in Milan. Sons John and Arjens van Gammeren say: “We embrace the young generation with knowledge of the latest techniques and skills. With the youngsters, we are able to keep following our ambition in making contemporary designs. In our inhouse Quasar Lab creativity meets technology and experience meets innovation.”

Quasar Holland has the habit of collaborating with world famous designers. The national and international top designers make sure we can add completely new models to our already strong collection of crystal light every year. They create unique, timeless crystal light, such as the Crystal Galaxy Chandelier, the Mira Ceiling Lamp or the Alistair Suspension. The three crystal light examples can be easily matched with other lighting you may need in your home, office, retail, public space or in the hospitality industry. Examples of other lighting are: floor lamps, table lamps and wall lamps. The best part about our crystal light is that it can be fully tailored. It works very easy: you pick the model of your preference and then you pick the size, finish and colour. We have come a long way since 1992, and we have developed into a serious world player within the international high-end lighting market. Our export accounts for 85% of turnover at present. Almost all our models are equipped with high quality LED these days. For more than a decade we have been working with LED, because, LED is energy-efficient, cost-effective and sustainable.
