In the spotlight: Hannah Schaake
When a design is established, smart brains and working hands are needed to bring a design to life. Without them no radiant collection. Meet the power behind Quasar’s creative collection.
Hannah recently started at Quasar as trainee Styling, Interior and Design. We asked her a few questions so we could introduce her.
What is your position at Quasar?
I recently became an intern at Quasar. I am studying Styling, Interior and Design at Nimeto in Utrecht. What I do within Quasar differs every day, from creating elaborations in Vectorworks, to styling the showroom to clearing out the old workshop.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
Always in for a laugh, I like to have fun but can also be very serious.
How do you prefer to start your working day?
By putting on some nice music in the car on the way to work and starting with a cup of coffee at work.
Which Quasar design would you like to have in your living room?

Which Quasar design would you like to have in your living room?
The Spy or the Mira, both a very subtle but full lamp, where your mind can get lost in the glittering lights.
What work are you most proud of?
I’ve only been here a short time. But what I am most proud of so far is the elaboration of a client’s bathroom. This customer hesitated between two lamp sizes. In vectorworks I have recreated the space with the two different sizes in it so that the customer can compare them.
For what can we turn on the light for you at night?
Nothing, I really like to sleep. You can only wake me up if something is wrong.
What is your hidden talent?
I am very good at sensing things, good or bad. Sometimes I feel events coming. But I also feel how other people feel.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
When I was little I wanted to be something different every week when I grew up. But what I remember most is that I wanted a riding school with horses and then also teach myself.
What is the biggest blunder you ever made on the job?
Since I haven’t been doing my internship here for very long, I don’t have any major blunders yet. But I can sometimes be very clumsy and have tripped several times and bumped my head against the small Apple Mood lights.
What is your favorite song while working?
Actually, I don’t have a favorite song, nor a favorite genre. I actually listen to everything, it just depends on what I feel like and how I feel.
