Art Deco light by Studio Sybille

For Quasar Holland, Sybille van Gammeren from Studio Sybille designed the gorgeous Kengi Art Deco light. Sybille says about her creation: “For this Art Deco light I was inspired by the Physalis Alkekengi plant. The Art Deco light is organic in look and feel, but it is strong in detailed construction. As you can see, the cotton cable reaches for the ceiling, threaded like a branch, reaching for the sun. Please note the finish of each structure: the finish is paired with its own coloured cable. As you can see, the thickness of the cable increases with the size of the fixture. I’d like to emphasize that every Kengi Art Deco light is unique, featuring its own mouth-blown glass ball.”

Quasar Holland founded in 1992

Our company was founded in 1992 and in that same year, it was launched internationally at the well-known lighting exhibition Euroluce in Milan, Italy. Since that time, Quasar Holland has become a serious world player within the international high-end lighting market. We install LED in most of our models, because as we all know, LED is sustainable, energy-efficient and cost-effective. We add completely new models to our collection yearly. We are able to do this, because we collaborate with world famous designers, who are known for their creative and unique, timeless lighting designs.

To keep our position and mostly, to be able to serve our customers with special and high-quality lighting, we have recently opened an inhouse lab. “In our Quasar Lab”, we say, “creativity meets technology and experience meets innovation. It is a great workplace for designers and all other people who love to conceive, design and develop new products or objects.”
